Densit ApS and affiliated company, ITW Performance Polymers & Fluids in Russia have been awarded an order for 138.000 m2 of Densiphalt® pavement on an area to be used for container stacking in the port of Saint Petersburg.

The installation of Densiphalt® begins in September 2009 and will extend over a few months.
 

Densiphalt® is a semi-flexible pavement. It consists of open graded asphalt where the voids of 25-30% are filled with high strength Densiphalt® mortar. The joint-free and flexible properties of asphalt combined with the high bearing capacity and durability of concrete makes it a wear resistant and cost-effective pavement solution especially on areas exposed to heavy duty.

Densiphalt® is applied in ports worldwide. Besides ports, it is successfully applied in airports, warehouses, distribution centers and heavily trafficked areas.
