Densit® DensiCobb is a new revolutionary system, that combines the traditional techniques of cobblestone applications with the newest mortar technology, and decades of experience within the use of ultra-high-strength cement based flooring products.
Where to apply Densit® DensiCobb
The main focus is on public cobblestone areas that are subjected to heavy and turning traffic. Cobblestones in these areas are presently almost to impossible to keep stable and fixated, due to increased wear end tear from power-steering and increasingly heavy traffic.
Application of Densit DensiCobb
The system is based on two application phazes, and the surface is ready to be subjected to heavy traffic after only 24 hrs. (at 20°C) after filling of the joints.
A void-filled stone matrix bedding is created with granite aggregates, optional reinforcement and high viscosity DensiCobb mortar. The cobblestones are placed in this bedding according to the crafts traditions and the following day the voids are filled with DensiCobb mortar - fixating the cobblestones permanently. The DensiCobb mortar is then mixed with sand and used as an ultra-high-strength joint filler to complete the work process. Due to the ultra high strength and impermeability of the DensiCobb mortar the area is considered to be one impermeable casted slab, where the cobblestones are permanently casted into the DensiCobb bedding base - a unique and complete system for cobblestone applications which has never been seen before.
