Aalborg Portland initiates research work with the purpose of developing cement-based materials with ultra high strength and durability. |
| |
|
| 1970's |
The DSP technology - Densified Systems containing homogeneously arranged ultrafine Particles - is developed.
The DSP technology forms the basis for producing a class of materials with extraordinary properties in terms of hardness, strength, impermeability, wear resistance, impact resistance, chemical resistance and ability to withstand repeated freezing and thawing cycles. |
| |
|
| 1978 |
Because density is a key feature of the materials, they are named Densit® materials and trademarked as such internationally.
Patent applications for the Densit® technology are filed in all major industrial countries in the world. |
| |
|
| 1983 |
Densit a/s is established as an independent company as a member of the Aalborg Portland Group. |
| |
|
| 1980's |
The trademarks Densit®, Densiphalt®, Densitop®, Ducorit® are registered internationally. |
| |
|
| 1984 |
Due to the extraordinary properties of the Densit® materials they find their natural application as barriers in the security industry.
Pohlschröder, one of the market leaders in the security industry decides to make safes with barriers made of Densit® materials only. This affects the whole trade of business. |
| |
|
| 1985 |
Thin and light Densit® barriers are introduced to vaults with great success. In the following years Densit supplies all the leading manufactures in Western Europe and later worldwide. |
| |
|
| 1985 |
The use of Densit® materials for wear protection linings is obvious and it turns out that the wear linings fit fine into the general wear protection market. Densit® wear protection linings are sold to the cement-, power- and paper industry.
Some years later Densit® wear protection solutions are introduced to the steel industry. |
